Obituary of Mona Gayle Morse
With broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mona Gayle Morse, 83. Mona passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, surrounded by her five children and 13 grandchildren. Daughter of the late Redden and Ruth (Horsnell) Morse, Mona was raised in Millville, Nova Scotia.
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mona was known for her quick wit and keen sense of humour. Mona was also known for her kindness, and her generosity and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mona had a love for baking and gardening and enjoyed spending time along the seashore. Mona was an avid reader and history buff. Mona could carry on a conversation about almost any topic. Mona loved watching movies, especially the classics and historical documentaries.
Mona loved spending time with her family and could always be found at family functions holding her newest grandchild or great grandchild.
Mona is survived by her 5 children; Jennifer Lynn Bradley, Ellen Rebecca Cheung (Stephen Cheung), Lorena Beth Bradley (Raymond Parsons), Karry Ann Berkman (James Harlow) and Brian Roy Berkman (Lisa Berkman); 13 grandchildren Mitch North, Kayleigh Parsons, Georgia Lewis, Cynthia Ann Perrot, Megan Parsons, Stevie-Lynn Berkman, Brandon Berkman, Curtis Berkman, Cara Cheung, Joe Parsons, Zoe Cheung, Bethany Kinsman and Caleb Berkman; 8 great grandchildren Jazmine, Owen, Jacob, Jack, Violet, Greyson, Ryan and Emma; her younger sister Cynthia Arnold (Clyde Arnold) and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mona was predeceased by her sister Beverly Anderson (George Anderson)

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 3:00pm in the Serenity Funeral Home followed by a reception. A graveside service will take place following the reception at Aylesford Union Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
