Obituary of Marlene Louise Strong

It is with deep sadness the family of Marlene Louise Strong announces her passing, Marlene passed away at her home in Berwick on July 3, 2024. Born in Kings County, Marlene was the daughter of Leslie and Janet (DeMille) Strong.

Marlene was known for her kindness and adventurous spirit, she enjoyed going to Harbourville to sit on the shore, she would stay for hours taking photos and relishing in the beauty of the ocean. Marlene adored her time out west and being able to experience the tourist attractions including the wildlife, but most of all being able to spend quality time with her sons and Shawna. When Marlene was home she took pleasure in gardening and being able to relax on her porch having a smoke and drinking a cup of tea while taking in the sound of the birds and watching her two cats, Buttons and Buddy. When Marlene’s grandson had a baseball game you could find her on the bleachers cheering him on. She spent many years in the kitchen at The Orchard Way Daycare helping to feed the children in which she enjoyed very much. Marlene will be missed by so many.

In addition to her mother, Marlene is survived by her sons Nealy Mitchell, Ryan Smith and Randy Smith; brothers Rob Strong, Andy Strong, Mike Strong, and Jason Oikle; and grandchildren Tallulah Mitchell, Keith Mitchell and Katelyn Sweeney.

In addition to her father, marlene was predeceased by her son Leslie Mitchell and brothers Wayne Strong, Joey Strong and Adam Oikle.
