Lynn Davidson

Obituary of Lynn Joanne Davidson

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lynn Joanne (Elliott) Davidson, on November 29, 2024. She was formerly of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Lynn has been in care since 2015, and at the time of her death she resided at Sagewood Continuing Care on Cobequid Rd, Sackville. Born on March 15, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Don & Lottie Elliott.

“Lynn was much loved by many and will be missed by all.”

After High School, Lynn followed her dream to be an artist. She enrolled in NS Collage of Art and Design, (NSCAD) where she flourished. She also spent a summer on the South Shore working with a sculptor learning the art of hand building pottery, she also loved making jewelry and painting. She was a fantastic gardener, and she loved all music.

Lynn’s love of music lead her to “The Big Sing” in Halifax where she was the dancing queen. She was on many YouTube videos; all were back seven years ago. Colleen Jones also interviewed her for CBC. We have found three of The Big Sing videos she was on. The best one was for the song, “Dancing in the Dark” by Bruce Springsteen, “Halo” by Beyoncé, and “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5. She is at the very end of most. Go search, check them out and watch her bow at end of Maroon 5. Our sweet Lynn.

Lynn and Jeffrey complemented each other, they were both very hard workers and together they accomplished so much. Jeff was the jack of many trades and Lynn flourished with her artistic design talents. Lynn successfully operated Elliott’s Upholstery & Drapery Making business in Wolfville for over 25 years. She also worked at Buds and Bygones Flower Shop in Wolfville. She volunteered for many years at the Gaspereau Elementary School arranging artist workshops for the students and at Two Planks and a Passion.

Lynn is survived by her children, Tyler and Fratiene of Victoria, BC, Neil and Tegan of Australia and Nora of Wolfville; Four grandchildren, Lucas Kenny, Jace, Lexie, and Theo Davidson; Brother Wayne and Sharon Elliott; sisters, Yvonne Elliott and Daryl of Kingsport, Judee Johnson, Donna Elliott, Maureen and Ron Fifield all of Sackville and Kathie and Dan Bevin of Bedford as well as her In -laws Kevin and Chris Davidson, Ontario, Daryl and Peggy Isnor, Alberta. Lynn was an Auntie to a multitude of nieces and nephews as well as many Great and Great-Greats.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was predeceased by her spouse, Jeffrey Davidson; sister, Gloria Smith; brother, Roy Elliott and nephew, Charlie Elliott

Lynn’s family would like to thank the many caring, professional employees and volunteers at Sagewood for the excellent care and love they gave Lynn in the six years she was a resident there. She was treated with the upmost respect, dignity, love and kindness by all. We would also like to thank Elaine Dawson and Madeleine DeWolfe for their continued friendship and many visits at Sagewood.

Cremation has taken place and there will not be a service at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
