Not the easiest parent to have, but also not cruel or unkind. I remember him busking on Sparks Street in Ottawa when I was 10 years old. My thought at the time was, I’m so proud to have a dad who has figured out life. Mom was working full time and what he was doing seemed considerably more fun.
It’s a matter of perspective, but I wish he had had an easier time finding his way.
