Obituary of Donna Faye Schofield
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Faye Schofield, 83 in her home in Woodville on January 7, 2025. Born in Aylesford, Donna was the daughter of the late Stedman and Dorothy McKay.
Donna enjoyed the little things in life, like heading out to play bingo and going out to lunch with her sisters once a month. She loved when she was able to spend time with her family but most of all, Donna took great pleasure in spending time at the camp.
Donna is survived by her children, Kim (Stephen) of Shelburne Co. and Kenny (Kimberely) of Woodville; grandchildren, Caryn, Krissy (Mike), Katie (Kori) and Aaron (Rebecca); great grandchildren, Mikey, Chealsea, Dylan, Caleb, Skyla, Colton, Callie-Fae, Charlotte, Ava and Carter; two great great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne (Velma), Dale (Jeanie Jones), Perry (Gale) McKay, Fred (Ethal Wentzell), Bonnie Spurr (Wayne), Joann Murphy (Barry), Larry McKay and Cathy Pelton (Ed); as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband, Albert Schofield; son, Kevin; siblings, Shirley Carew, Kenny McKay, Edith Strum, Linda Ells and Elizabeth Lenihan.
The family of Donna would like to give a special thanks to the Annapolis Valley Home Care for the care, kindness and compassion they provided over the years.
A Celebration of life will take place on January 23, 2025, at 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Meadowview Community Centre. Donations in Donna’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the organization of your choice.
