Was saddened to read of Sandychr(39)s passing and after reading the paper feel it is the Sandy that was once
part of the General Electric family along with brother Bob
and father Fred??
Our lives took us down different paths many years ago
but we never forget those who shared those days at
Howe Ave, from the oldest to the youngest we were
like family.
My deepest sympathy at this most difficult time.

It was with regret that I read of Sandychr(39)s death in the Halifax Herald. So often I have wondered over the years where everyone was, especially when I would return to Howie Center to see Mom and Dad. Ichr(39)m sure you all have wonderful memories of Sandy which will sustain you in the days ahead. Take care of yourselves. Anne

Dear Family of Ian "Sandy" MacLaren,
Please accept my condolences on your loss.
I found comfort in the hope for our dear loved ones that is expressed in the Bible at Psalm 37:29 which says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
We can be assured that when wickedness is wiped out from the earth and it is restored to a paradise like the Garden of Eden as God originally purposed, our loved ones will return to life on earth. John 5: 28,29 tells us that "...The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out ..."
In the Lordchr(39)s Prayer that most of us pray we ask for Godchr(39)s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Then there will be no more sorrow or pain as we are promised at Revelation 21:3,4. It reads in part: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, ... And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.ââ?¬ÃÂ
I hope these words bring a measure of comfort in your time of loss.
Sincerely,
Sandra Sullivan

Dear Caryl & family, Ichr(39)m so sorry for your loss, I know it is very difficult at this time. Sandy was a wonderful person and always spoke of the children when ever he would come into the Inglis/Whirlpool office in Burnside he was very proud of you both. Caryl I hope you still have your cottage so you can sit back and relax over a bottle of wine with pleasant memories of Sandy. You are in my thoughts at this very difficult time.

Confident, competent, strong... Sandy took time to relate to each of us and share many pieces of his world. His pride in his family and his positive outlook in the face of many challenges will remain with us as we remember Sandy as a friend and business associate. Our thoughts are with you. All the best!
