There are those moments in life when nothing makes sense. It can be an unfair world when such a strong woman is taken from her family. Let the world rest assured that Deborah faced her illness with determination, grace and fortitude. Let her family be aware that her personality shone through even into the hospital setting. Deborah for all her kindness will be remembered by any who have had the opportunity to get to know her. God Bless.

To Debbiechr(39)s Family,
Your loss is being felt by so many people right now. Take comfort in knowing that Debbie will be missed by everyone who knew her. Debbie was a fantastic person that I did not have the privilege of keeping in touch with over the years. We grew up together but lost touch as we grew up and went our separate ways. I am forever grateful that I was able to touch base with her again through Facebook and it seemed like the years apart just melted away. One of the fondest memories I have of Debbie was us laughing whenever we heard her mom yelling "DEBORAH JEAN", we always knew it wasnchr(39)t going to be good. She was always an angel then and is still an angel today. Good-bye Debbie and God Bless.

Why? That is what we ask. The truth is, we may never know for sure why. But, we do know that there is no single \should have done\" or \"could have done\" or \"did\" or \"didnchr(39)t do\" do that would have changed the WHY. All that love could do was done. With our Deepest Sympathies. "

I have been a nurse for 30 yrs and now I support other nurses in their practice. In doing so Deborah taught me that regardless of how bad the day was, there was always something good in every day to be thankful for. She helped us to understand what her cancer journey was like and how important it was to have support and hope. She said she felt safe in the hospital and really appreciated little things, like a backrub Deborah spoke of how much she loved and appreciated her family and the wonderful circle of friends she had, who had been so supportive to her and her family. Nursing is so more than a job, it is about giving of yourself in a way that truly makes a difference, I hope that I made even a little bit of a difference for Deborah. Cancer is not fair but Deborah fought it with dignity. I wonchr(39)t be at the funeral tomorrow because I have to work, but I will be thinking of Deborah and what she taught me about life, death and nursing in the short time that I knew her.
