Condolences to all the family of Barberie, who was well-known to my mother (Jean Gibson).
As a child, I found Barberie to be a friendly, kind and caring woman, who sometimes "caught" me peering through the fence at her horse. I thought she looked so smart when she dressed up and rode her horse around! She was often among the bridge players who circulated periodically to our home, and she was clearly a valued member of my motherchr(39)s friendship circle. I recall her generous sharing of extras from a back yard fruit tree, which my mother would can for our later enjoyment. My mother greatly valued her friendship. In later years, when neither was able to travel far, I would take my mother for occasional visits, and I enjoyed listening to their conversations as they "caught up".
May your own warm memories of Barberie help lessen your sorrow.
With sincere sympathy,
Jeannie Gibson Collins
