CLARKE, C.S. William - Bill쳌 - of Berwick, Kings Co., formerly of Halifax, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 28, 2011, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, Bill was a son of the late Stanley W. and Geraldine May (Clancey) Clarke. He is survived by his wife, Karen F. (Gordon) Clarke; brother Edward (Judith), Berwick; sister, Helen Querin, Surrey, B.C.; brother-in- law, Richard (Jeanne) Gordon, and son Brian, Burlington, ON.; Gary and Maureen Corrigan and extended Clancey family members in Ontario, B.C. and Nova Scotia. Bill had a 33 year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, starting in 1956, with service in the Canadian Army 3 RCHA, followed by the remaining years in the Royal Canadian Air Force. His postings included Germany (Army), Clinton, On, Newport Corner, NS , Goose Bay, NL and various positions in the Halifax area. Bill was an avid plastic modeller enthusiast, enjoyed painting with water colours, carving, and after his retirement expanded his interest in cooking. He was a life long blood donor and an avid reader. Cremation has taken place. A remembrance afternoon will be held on Saturday, November 5th. 2-3pm for visiting at 223 Main Street , Berwick. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross Society, or to the S.P.C.A.
