MACDOUGALL, Helen Christena - 94, Bridgetown passed away at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton on December 20, 2011. Born in Christmas Island, Cape Breton, on December 25, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Hartigan) MacDougall. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters Mary, Elizabeth, Johanna; brothers Michael and Bernard. Helen is survived by nieces Maureen, Rosaire, Bernadette (Bebe), Cecilia, Mary, Rosemary, Theresa, Margaret and Paula; nephews Michael, Alasdair, Mark and Bernard; grandnieces and grandnephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass will be January 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Bridgetown, with Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will be at a later date in West Palm Beach, Florida. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to Grace Haven in Paradise, 9791 Highway 1, Bridgetown, NS B0S 1C0 or to a charity of choice.
