My deepest condolences to all the family.
It deeply saddens me to have recieved such sad news.
Mr.Leschied had a very loving and nuturing character, that has had a very positive influence on my life.
As a young man I enjoyed working alongside him & the many conversations wechr(39)ve had.
The one thing that I remember the most about him ,is that when things are tough and not going so well,he always told me "to keep faith"!
For all his generosity and guidance ,I will be ever thankful.
God Bless,
Love Tony & Denise.

Whenever someone like Karl leaves this earth, it is with a huge sense of loss, but right behind that are the feelings of gratitude of having been fortunate to have known Karl.
We met Karl and June in Newfoundland a few years ago and always enjoyed their company.
Karl was always full of wit and humour.
He left you with a sense of calmness, no matter what the situation.
He had high regard for his fellow man and was one of those people who always took the high road. Karl affected everyone he met.
Our deepest condolences go to June and the family and we hope the endless memories of happy times with Karl will help you through a very difficult time.
With warmest regards,
- Mike and Sheila Hancock

Dear June and Family: My deepest sympathy to you all. Thoughts and prayers are with you in your time off sorrow. A wonderful man of God has left this earth and gone to his reward in Heaven. Sorry this message is so late , I just checked the Pilot for something and the first thing that God directed my eyes to was Carlchr(39)s obituary. I have such fond memories of the time spent in your home , where I was supposed to be working for you but it felt more like home then a job. How I remember our Sunday morning church services. I am sure I will never forget the trip to the hospital when I broke my arm. So many fond memories of all the family. God Bless you all.

p.s. from Byron.. I appreciated how Karl encouraged me to take time to spend with my family; to take a vacation, regardless of how busy work could be. He always stressed the importance of hugging my children, no matter what age!

To the Leschied family: Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Leschied. I remember the many chats we had together. My life has been enriched because of the spiritual lessons he would share with me. I believe if Mr. Leschied could speak to us today, he would say "Cluny, the Lord knows best you know." Mrs. Leschied, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We are sure that you have alot of memories that you will keep in your heart forever.

June and family, although I am certain Karlchr(39)s passing is a feeling of significant loss, his and your strong personal faith in Christ provides incredible hope in the midst of sorrowing.
To me (Harvey) cousin Karl always was a person who consistently lived out his Christian values with boldness and passion. I just wish I would have known him better (and also learned more about fishing from him).
What a life to celebrate! "The Dash" (google) is very applicable to Karlchr(39)s life and legacy.
May the Lord bless you, keep you, and give you peace!

While Carl will be greatly missed by all that knew him, it is with delight that we celebrate him going home. There were few conversations that you could have with Carl without his love for God coming up in the conversation, and this was evident throughout all aspects of his life. He was an incredible man of faith and he will forever have an influence on the way I live my life. The testament to his life resonates throughout his family, as anyone who has had the honor to be with the "Leschied" clan can attest to. He is a man that I am privileged to have called "Dad".

Dear June, Heather, Mark, Steven, Jennifer, Jonathan, Michael (and family)- I am so sorry to hear of Carlchr(39)s passing. He meant a lot to our family. I have so many memories that include him and your family...from driving out on the ice to your cabin (I canchr(39)t believe we did that!)to the lobster boils at your house on the hill (where I chose hot dogs over the lobster...speaking of lobster - I also remember the "Lobster-mobile"). I was so happy to see you, June, and Carl at my wedding! He will be missed. Thinking of all of you...

June, you and Karl are like Grandparents to me. I have many fond memories of Karl while visiting lewisport, trips to the cabin, moose hunting, fishing, and boating repairs! The love the two of you shared was something amazing. Karl lived a life that was full of pride, joy, and happiness. His humility and selflessness are all qualities that I admire him for, and qualities I myself aspire to. He demonstrated these traits again and again to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. His kind words, generosity, and advise helped many people through challenging situations. Karl will be missed dearly by all that knew him. He was one in a million and one of the greatest people you could ever meet.
My heart goes out to everyone in the family! Karl will be missed GREATLY!
