Donnie you was a great man, your dedication to the Fire Department will never be forgotten, thanks Don for all the hours you put in in training me to operate the pumps,we had some rough days, but you never gave up on me! I will never forget the goodtimes we all had and the not so good, Thanks Don for being there for me when we lost another great man, my father, your memories of him will always stay with me. Rest in peace my good man and while your up in heaven and looking down on us, keep us safe. We all will miss you greatly.

When I first joined the department in '96 Taylor was one of two people that took me "under their wing". He was an experienced mentor and despite the occassional "gruff" exterior he portrayed, I believe him to be one of the kindest persons I have had the pleasure of meeting. Donnie's passing was a sad shock for both Virginia and I. He was a mentor to my wife Virginia when she joined the department as well. He will be sadly missed by many, his memory will be cherished by all. Rest in Peace Donnie!
