Taylor, Donald Lamont "Donnie" - age 84 of Aylesford; answered his final alarm surrounded by his loving friends on August 7, 2013 at Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Berwick on May 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Leander and Reta (Pinch) Taylor. Donald was a proud member of the Aylesford and District Volunteer Fire Department since 1947. Donald worked as a truck driver for W.L. Nichols and Masterfeeds, he was also a bus driver for Hollis Corkum for 26 years. After retiring, Donald stayed active as a volunteer and received the Provincial Volunteer Award in 2010. Donald is survived by his family at the Aylesford and District Volunteer Fire Department. He is predeceased by the love of his life, Marjorie DeEll. There will be a visitation at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel with Rev. Brenda Nesbitt officiating. Burial to take place at the Aylesford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Aylesford and District Volunteer Fire Department (1083 Park Street, Aylesford, NS, B0P 1C0) or a charity of choice.
