To Barb's Family: We have lost a wonderful asset to our community. Barb was truly a dedicated nurse and so professional in her career as a nurse. She certainly was respected by all who were fortunate to know her. She was a very valued employee of Soldiers' Memorial Hospitalfor many years.
My deepest condolences!

I met Barb at Palliative Care training sessions and always saw her at the Greenwood gym when I was walking through. I did not know Barb well; however, it was clear that Barb sincerely cared for those in the Palliative Unit and worked tirelessly for their well-being and for necessary equipment to help make them more comfortable. May God be with her family and those who know her much better than I do. A good woman taken far too soon.

Hi...It was a bit of a shock to see Barb's obituary. Barbara offered me great support when I had my child Emma. She went in the ambulance with me to the hospital as there were complications. She and her good friend Louise Simons helped turn my life around through the Red Cross and their sincere committments. Go to heaven Barb!

Daryl and I want to express how deeply we grieve the loss of a very dear friend and church community companion. We shared many discussion groups, theology workshops, special church events, potluck dinners, and moments of solid quiet friendship with Barb. If ever there was a person we could count on for good advice, cheery comradeship, and loving support, it was our lovely friend. To mark her passing, a donation has been made to the Torbrook Mines United Church.

David and I worked with Barb at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for approximately 25 years. Barb was an excellent nurse and co-worker, very knowledgeable and always pleasant. It was our privilege to have worked with her.
We saw Barb at Costco just before Christmas and David and I remarked how well she looked so you can imagin our shock when we heard how sick she was and that she had passed away.
I can't imagine the sadness you must be feeling from your loss, hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

A wonderful and dear friend, an outstanding volunteer. Mid-Valley Palliative Care will certainly miss her presence and commonsense approach to all things. Personally, I will miss her every day. Barb was one of the most compassionate people that I have ever known but she had a wicked sense of humor. To the family, know how much your Mom is going to be missed in the community.
A lady never to be forgotten.
Love you always, Barb
