I had the pleasure to have Ed as my hockey coach during the 74-75 Hockey season at West Kings District High School. We placed second only to Sidney Academy that year. He had a unique way to bestow discipline with fairness and gained the respect and dedication of all the team players. Our deepest condolence. The White House.

Ed Morgan had more of an influence in my life than he could ever know. His tough but fair guidance has made an impact in my business life, coaching life and even in raising kids. Although it has been 43 years since I left high school, I still ask myself "what would Ed do" whenever I am faced with a tough decision. My condolences.

As a newly minted teacher in the 70's,Leo was fortunate to become Ed Morgan's assistant coach with the High School Hockey program. He immediately became part of a disciplined,caring-for -teammates and striving for excellence-environment.Leo remains grateful for the strongest and best teaching and coaching mentor he could have had.
Our family was impacted by Ed's values and belief in fostering each person's gifts.Doris, whom he affectionately called 'Fannie Annie' when he coached her in basketball and as her Grade 12 biology teacher, was influenced in her life path in university athletics and a nursing career. Our three sons have vivid and admiring thoughts of how he taught them so much science in Grade 9...a master teacher , indeed.
Eleanor, Gary, Janet, John and Eric and families-we extend our sincerest condolences. Our community, indeed our province, is a better place for Ed's life as a teacher, coach and leader.
Sincerely
Leo, Doris, Chris, Stephen, and Mike Glavine.

I think back to my younger days and how Mr. Morgan tutored me in so many ways during my time in West Kings and Kingston. He coached myself in many sports such as baseball, hockey and track 'n field.Basketball and gym classes were always our favorite class in school and Ed made it very enjoyable as well as educational.Later in life we enjoyed golfing at the Paragon, which also came about with a high school golf team and Ed's summers off. All in all he was and still is a great influence in my life and sports ability.THANKS MR. MORGAN for your kindness and teachings in many areas of mine and so many others lives......RIP & may GOD be with you and your family at this sad time.

My father, Al Cole and my sister Linda and I Send this note in sympathy. Ed and yourself were great neighbours to us in Kingston. He was also a teacher that I have never forgotten. He once took marks off a test because I spelled my name wrong. My parents had failed to tell me that my name was susann and not Susan. How he knew beats me! He was a lovely man. We hope you are all doing well through this tough time. My mom , Doris died several years ago. With best wishes, the Cole family

One of the best teachers I ever had. Not only did Mr. Morgan teach me science, but also about life. Whether he knew it or not he also helped me to make the transition of coming from French Immersion back to Anglophone classes. Mr. Morgan had a natural ability for knowing what the extent of what his students could accomplish even if they themselves didn't and taught as to how we each learned. Rest in Gods arms now Mr. Morgan and may His angels surround family and friends with love... you'll be missed!

To Elinor and the whole family:
Mary and I would like to pass along to you and all family members and their partners and loved ones, our condolences on Eds (Ebbies) passing. He was at West Kings when I went there and he was there when I left, eight years later. He was a highly-motivated teacher, a man very active in your community, and a good friend. I will miss him greatly. About a week ago, Mary and I discussed the possibility of calling you and Ed and have a short visit with both of you, as we did a few years ago.
Ed and I teamed-up many times to play in some of Paragons mens golf tournaments. Also, we travelled to the school in each others car on numerous occasions. He was a good person to his wife, his children, his grandchildren and great grandchild. Ed will be missed by all of them, and all of us.
Mary and I will be there on the 30th.
Our sincerest sympathy- Eric and Mary

My deepest condolences to the family.
Mr. Morgan's teachings (not just in the classroom) have had far-reaching and long-lasting impact over the years, as he helped inspire countless students to work hard and make the most of their opportunities.
40+ years later I still remember him doing a kip-up as an "old man" in gymnastics class, and sharing a gentle elbow (or two) as a reminder to stay out of the corner in a faculty/student floor hockey game.
He was, in the truest sense of the word, an educator.
Thanks for the life lessons, Ed.

Dear Elinor, Gary, John, Eric, Janet and families,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of your husband's/father's passing. Some of my fondest memories of West Kings were "Mr. Morgan's" gym classes. He also helped coach my little league team in the early seventies. We always had a special bond, although I had not seen him in many years. I had the opportunity to talk to Eric at the school three years ago during a class reunion tour and did some "catching up". He was a great man who will be missed! God bless you all during this difficult time and take care,
Bill Philpott

Very sorry to hear of Coach Morgans passing, my sincere condolences to the family. He was the first real coach I had that just didn't coach, he mentored with incredible firmness and fairness that made one want to succeed and give everything we had. I'm sure many many people whose lives were touched by Mr Morgan would say the same. He was an incredible leader, and although I didn't realize it at the time, I was so fortunate to have been able to know him and play on so many teams for him. Thank you Coach, you will always be remembered in our hearts .

My sincere condolences on the passing of Coach Morgan.
Coach Morgan left a mark on my life that has been instrumental in guiding me decades later - he was inspiring in so many ways.
I would like to thank the Morgan's for sharing your husband and Dad with so many of us young athletes over these many many years.
I remember his firm, smart and fair way with us ... but most of all I remember how much I trusted in Coach Morgan. His every word and decision was gospel to me. I would have done anything for the Coach as a player.
Coach Morgan was one of a kind - a truly wonderful human being. Amidst the sadness I am so incredibly grateful my life path crossed with his.
My heart goes out to all of you as you prepare to say good-bye to Ed. I would like you to know how much Coach Morgan meant to me and so many others.
With love, respect, gratitude and so many fond memories.

Heaven has an ornery new angel up there. He should be able to stir things up. He was one of a kind. He touched more lives than most ever get to and will be remembered fondly by all who had the chance to meet him. He will be missed but he is at peace now. Take comfort in that. We all loved him!
