I first met George at Trinity College in 1958. I, too, majored in Philosophy and George (we both lived in residence at Trinity) was a helpful support and guide for me. He played at being our local atheist but that was he way to challenge our thinking and our beliefs. I am sorry I did not keep in touch with him. He was a special man. I am glad to know that he married, had a family. May he rest in peace. GJ
