So sorry to hear of Al's passing. I worked with him a bit at Michelin and then when I moved to Annapolis Royal years later, it was good to reconnect. My family and I were regulars at the Cafe and now a wonderful part of downhome Annapolis is gone but will always be in our memories and an important part of its history. He will be missed by many. God Bless.

We are so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. We remember the happier times at the Fire Hall social events- always a good laugh and great fun with Al there. Even though we have been gone for 22 years we usually saw Al at the cafe when we were home. His birthday has been marked on our calendar for all of those years. He will be missed by so many. Our thoughts are with the family.

My deepest condolences to Alan's family. I have many fond memories of my association with Alan, having known him since the mid 1960's. There were many times we played golf together during my summer visits to Annapolis and I always made it a point to drop by the cafe to see him whenever I was in the area. I will miss those visits.

Our Deepest Sympathy to you Janice, Michelle and families. Al's Cafe to me was like walking into Cheers for Norm, everyone knew your name, friendly smiles and of course Al saying at the top of his voice with a big smile on his face, "Well there's my sweetie, how are you today?" even when it was packed full. No one will ever be able to make a cheese burger and fries like Al. He will be truly missed by all. Thoughts and Prayers, Rhonda

Over the years with my daughters and husband and sometime by myself - just loved going to the Cafe. Alan always had a warm smile, a chat or two, but usually was busy.
We send our condolences, warm thoughts, and prayers to you all.Hard to believe another family member went home to be a Guardian Angel, for from what I know from others and what I have seen over the years, an Angel upon the earth.
Sincere Sympathy,
With Love,
Lois Veinot & family.

I am very sad to hear of Al's passing. He truly was a genuine, great guy. I have lived away from the area for 37 years but would visit my family every year - there was never a time I didn't go to the Diner for Al's famous cheeseburgers and a chocolate shake - the best anywhere. Al always made time for you and was so interested in your family. He loved life, loved his community and adored his family - always speaking about all of you.
We are very sorry for your loss.
With fond memories and prayers to you all.

I am so sorry for your loss we would have our date breakfasts in there almost every week. He knew everyone and if he didn't he sure did by the time you finished eating .He sat with us many times and shared his stories and adventures on his motorbike but he always had time to lend an ear or shoulder to cry on. The universe has a pretty special angel now xo

Sincere sympathy extended to Al's family. He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. The Cafe' was such a warm and welcoming spot ( Al had the best hamburgers in Town) you might come in as a stranger but left as a friend. There was always laughter and a good joke to be told around the table at coffee time in the morning. I worked for Al for 14 years and he was the best boss I ever had. Another Angel has his wings, Miss you AL!
