Dear Daisy and Morris,
I really don't know you but my mom knew you Daisy, she was Edith Burns, and lived in Dartmouth. The last time I remember meeting you was at your Aunt Flora's funeral. My husband and I visited your mom in her beautiful home while we were visiting in the valley and I was wanting to send her a 100th birthday card, alas, it was not to be. We're really glad to have known Minnie and I have admired her for years for her faithfulness to her God, and His people. She will be in a better place now and all tears and pain and sorrows gone forever. Our deepest sympathy, because no matter how old your mom is, it's always a terrible loss to part from her. I don't know if you will remember me, but we went to school together when we were young girls. I lived on Oakdene Avenue, you on Belcher Street. When I saw your mother's obituary I just wanted to touch base and pass on condolences. She certainly did wonderfully well to make it to nearly 100.

Our sincere condolences to the immediate family. Minnie's mother was my Aunt Phoebe, my father's sister. There were many fond memories of trips to Baxter's Harbour when I was a child. Although it has been many years since I saw cousin Minnie I always remember her as a very kind and caring person. Love and prayers to all.

The Beauty of The Mind of a Child
Liam, age 6, the child of Mom's grand-niece, was being brought to see Aunt Minnie at the hospital, the day before she passed away. His Mom had told him that he might not see Aunt Minnie again because she would soon be going to Heaven. He walked in, holding his favorite Teddy, sat Teddy on the bed by Mom's hand, and told his Mom "If Aunt Minnie is going to Heaven, she will need Teddy to take with her". His dear little hand patted Teddy one more time, and he walked away. No dry eyes in the room!! His Grandma asked him if he was sure, because he would not see Teddy again.... he answered that he was sure. Mom was not conscious at the time, but someone laid her hand over that Teddy, and her hand never left it, until the hand fell in total relaxation, after her last breath. So, Teddy is with her.
BEAUTY ALWAYS EXISTS....EVEN IN THE MIDST OF SORROW.
