I am so very sorry to just hear of Jeanne's passing. Jeanne was a family friend for as long as I can remember. I spent many fun weekends visiting the Bennetts in Pereaux when I was young. Mum & Dad had lots of laughs over the years with Jeanne & Lawrence, and Jeanne was particularly kind and supportive to Mum when she moved to Shannex Orchard Court.
I have so many really lovely memories of Jeanne. Her baking was legendary! Especially though it was her kindness and warmth and thoughtfulness that I will always treasure - and her hugs. Jeanne was a truly lovely person and she will be missed so very much.
Our love and condolences to all the family. Thinking of you so much.

I am saddened by Jeanne's passing and will miss our little visits when I worked. I always sat and chatted with her. She was one of my favorites. She told me a few weeks ago that she had a wonderful life and had made peace with leaving this world. She said, "its time". I told her that I respected that, but I wasn't ready! She patted my hand and told me how much she loved everyone who cared for her. Rest well, lovely lady. You are missed. Janet, LPN (casual)

My sincere condolences to the family, especially to Nancy, my dear friend growing up. When I think of Jean, I have such fond memories. On occasion, when I was a student of hers at the school in Habitant, we would come to my house to have lunch with my mom. Even at a young age, I was happy that my mom had such a special friend. I agree one of her great assets was her unconditional acceptance of others. Such a gift especially for a teacher! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. She was a wonderful person.
Warm regards,
Gail Crosty

It was many years ago that Jeanne and Lawrence moved to Kentville and became my neighbor. They were the most loving and kind people that I knew. We shared a lot of talks and stories on our decks and maybe a beverage or two. Of course it was great to have a handyman like Lawrence around whenever a problem came up.
My condolences go out to the family in this time of sorrow. she will be missed.

We still remember the day when we first went to look at their house on the Pereau Rd. when they were selling it. Jeanne was knitting and Lawrence was in the garden. It's funny but that's what you'll find us doing quite frequently as well. Although we didn't see them often after we bought the house, when we did see them, it was like we had known them for a very long time. It was very easy for Jeanne to make anyone she met feel comfortable and feel like a friend. We will miss you.
