So many lifelong friendships were formed at this special place of worship. It was for her a place of very deep personal and spiritual growth. In Pereaux, she enjoyed her membership in the Pereaux Community Club. In this community that was home for 37 years, she raised her family of four children. After moving to Kentville, she became a member and volunteer at the Kings County Historical Society. Jeanne always had a special place in her heart for the creative and knowledgeable staff. She enlarged on her own historical knowledge of her so beloved Kings County and enjoyed sharing that with visitors. Jeanne's professional and volunteer involvement reflected her profound love of people. She was always unconditional in her acceptance of people she encountered in her life. There are SO many lives she touched in a positive way, SO many memories that bring a smile and show the wonderful person she was. SO many stories about how she made a difference or made someone's day. SO many hearts that are feeling sadness because she was HERE, because she was so LOVED. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to all the "Shannex Family" whose love and care was extraordinary. She admired and loved you all. Her family will be forever grateful. No visitationwill take place by family request. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date in the Habitant Cemetery.
