Sending my sincerest condolences to Irene's family at this difficult time. I first met Irene back in the early1990s when I was a lifeguard at Acadia pool and where she was one of our avid regular swimmers; I enjoyed daily chats with her before/after her swims. Years later, I moved to Kentville and discovered one day while out in my yard that Irene lived just down the street from me! We would have a little chat every time our paths crossed. I was deeply saddened to learn just a few weeks before Irene passed that she was terminally ill. I am grateful, that I ran into her that day when we were both out for a walk around the block, and I got to see and chat with her, even though it was just for a few minutes. Irene was a wonderful, kind person, and will be missed. Big hugs to her family and friends.

To Irene's Family, my sincere condolences. How I loved watching her swim at Kingsport with such strength and grace, dance with Bram at the Dance Time club in Port Williams, and certainly admired her craftsmanship with the specialty aprons and more. Needless to say, she was a special lady and will be sadly missed.

My deepest sympathy to Irene's children and siblings. I met all of the family in the late '70's/early 80's when I was caring for her mother at the family home in Canning. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Condolences to Irene’s family and close friends.
News of Irene’s passing came as a shock to me, a bridge club friend. She was a lovely lady, very nice to play and converse with. I’ll miss seeing her at the club.

I had know Irene for more than fifty years. She was my swimming instructor when I was a student at Acadia in the early 1960’s and we often were at events together on campus. Many years later we all lived in Berwick when the children were little, and saw each other at many coffee parties, dances, etc. For the past ten years or more, Wally and I enjoyed her company at DanceTime, Port Williams, most Sunday afternoons. She will be missed by all of us.
Our sympathies go out to the family. She was very proud of you all.4
Blessings,
Nelda and Wally Humphreys
