On behalf of the dancers in the Square and Round Dance Federation of Nova Scotia, we send our condolences to the family and friends of Bernice. We are glad that Bernice enjoyed square dancing and shared in our many happy dance evenings and special events. Thank you for selecting the square dance photo for your obituary header – we have lots of wonderful memories of dance events like that one.
With sympathy, Dottie and Gary Welch, Secretary SRDFNS

We are so sad to hear of Bernice’s passing. Whether on a dance floor, an enthusiastic African Flower hobbyist, and lovely lady; in every way she was a delight to have known and gracious asset to the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Bernice will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences go to Bernice's family. Bernice was one of the last members who attended Greenwood Square Church. That was a special time and place for me as a minister. Bernice helped in every way she could to keep the little church going .I'm glad she found a spiritual home at Aylesford United for several years. Bernice always had a kind smile for everyone. May she rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Bernice's death. In our younger days Earle and I would go to Halifax to misbehave. In the morning Bernice would see us off with a good breakfast and not a word of the shape we had been in. Throughout the years I would make a visit to NS and share time and meals with Earle ,Linda ,Sandra and Bernice. Many a good times were had together feasting on Lobster.
Bernice was the nicest, kindest and most beautiful person you could meet.
If there were more people like her, this world would be a better place.
Rest in Peace.

I’m sending you all the family of this beautiful soul my condolences. I loved this lady, and I miss her so much, I’d like to say I’m sad to see her go be a angel but I know she would tell me “ DONT BE SO FOOLISH” , we had great times and we’ve also cried together. And yes, I’m very sad, but no more pain beautiful. Rest easy beautiful. Now you and Earle will be together again.
