Sending my sympathies to Lynn & Willis' family with the passing of their dad! I met Willis as he moved in next door to my folks at Orchardview Apts. He was a quiet spoken, kind and friendly man. After talking to him on occasion and doing a few errands for him; we realized that we knew some of the same people! I am priviledged to have an old blanket box given to me by Lynn that i will forever cherish and will always remember Willis by. Sincerely, Angie (Angela) Burns RIP WILLIS It was a pleasure to have met and known you!!

To Willis' Family
Dear Friends-
We were so sorry to read in the Chronicle Herald that Willis has passed away.
We got to know Willis and Francis through our association in Kings Fiddlers. Willis and Francis were a lovely couple and we feel fortunate to have know and had them in our lives. They have left us with many fond memories of fun times shared through our music events.
I have posted a picture of Willis taken at a Kings Fiddler closing party in June, 2011. I do have a number of pictures of Willis and Francis taken at various Kings Fiddler events so, if desired, just let me know and I will forward to you.
Thinking of you with loving thoughts and sincere sympathy.

To Willis' Family-
Dear Friends-
On behalf of the Kings Fiddlers I would like to express our condolences on Willis' passing.
A number of years ago Willis and Francis were loyal members of the Kings Fiddlers. Although Willis didn't play with the group he was always there to support Francis - when we were playing at an event or just at our regular club nights. He was always so friendly and willing to help - whether it was helping set up the sound system and chairs, or just helping to put the equipment away at the end of the evening. A wonderful, kind man.
Our sincere sympathy,
Karen A. Rowlands, Secretary, Kings Fiddlers

Dear Lynn and Betty,
Willis was an open-hearted, honourable and gentle man who exemplified the traits that make this world a better place. He was a devoted and loving husband to our mother, Frances, and a caring stepfather who filled a void in our hearts. He cherished you, his grandchildren and great grandchildren with immense pride.
We extend our profound sympathy to you and your families with hope that you will find comfort in knowing that Willis and Mom are reunited in heaven, cruising the clouds in their bespoke 1940 Ford convertible.

I met Willis a few years ago through the Pre War club and the Berwick Apple days. I had the privilege of driving with him in his 1940 Ford. He was indeed very proud of it and so he should. It was a dream. I only knew him for a short time but he sure made an impression. So sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere Condolences.

Lyn and I enjoyed our relayionship with Willis and Francis over the years including square dancing, riding in their 1940 Ford and visiting at their home. Willis and I enjoyed each others company at the Baptist Mens Breakfasts and at his appartment in Orchard View where the conversation centered around cars and ham operations. Rest in peace my friend. Willis was such a lovely man and such a good friend to the Palmer family and he lived such a long wonderful life. There have been so many great stories over the years about the adventures of Willis, Paul and Garfield as young fellows in the valley. I hope their heaven is being able to continue to chuckle as they tell those stories and reminisce about the ‘old days’! ‘Sending our sincerest sympathies to the family.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time. We first met Willis a number of years ago in the antique car group, we had some great visits there and over our monthly breakfasts as a group. Later Willis was at Joes workplace living until his move to Mountain Lea.
