I am truly sorry the loss of J.T. and would express my condolance too any of John,s friends and extended family. I new John very well for a time when we served together in the Canadian Armed forces in many kitchens. Our Last posting was in CFB GAGETOWN together. I left the forces and carried on,thought of John through out the years and wondered what had become of him . I found out today Aug 1st 2023 . My heart is truly heavy this evening as I think of John, and remember some good times and some not so good lol. He truly was a unique individual and I am truly saddened by his passing . My sincere condolences to John’s family and friends. I first met Johnny in the Windsor air cadets and later served with him in the the West NSR. I was fortunate enough to meet up with him over the years off and on when I was home to NS. We always had a good laugh over a few drinks reminiscing about the good old days. He was a good friend and I will miss him. Rest In Peace Johnny…see you again on the other side.

Cpl Taylor was one the greatest kitchen staff ever to set foot in Aldershot. I saw and spoke with him.most every training weekend but never knew his past. Getting up every morning and doing the hard work to feed the soldiers way before daylight takes a special person, and he always did it with a smile. Time to rest now Cpl Taylor, your Regimental Family will not forget you. Semper Fidelis.

Sincere condolences to John's civilian and military families. During John's time with the West Novas, he made a significant contribution toward feeding the soldiers and being a part of the Kitchen Staff with Mike Ricketts, Bob Dylan's, Brenda Morine, and Charlie Leblanc.
As well, he was a widely known and very well liked individual with a whole raft of friends. I have known John for decades and have always liked and respected him for his dedication to the Regiment and its soldiers.
John, you left us too soon. Thank you for your service to Canada and Canadians. Semper Fidelis.
