Obituary of Wade Andrew Seagers
Please share a memory of Wade to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Wade Andrew Seagers, age 63, of Dartmouth passed away at home in early September. Born in Windsor Ontario, to William (Bill) Seagers and Verna (May) Seagers (Zinck), he moved to north end Dartmouth as a child and remained a north ender for life.
Wade was well loved by many and left his mark wherever he went. He spent 32 years working for the Halifax Metro Center/Trade Center and was part of some fantastic events. A highlight for him was the 2013 Memorial Cup; the team ring they gifted him was a prized possession he displayed with honour.
Wade’s friends and family knew him to be a man that could be counted on in good times and bad. His loyalty and desire to protect were always evident. You could also be sure to have a good time when he was around. His weekend summer parties, known as “Wadestock”, were legendary. For 19 years people gathered in his little piece of paradise, (Elmwood, Nova Scotia), where the beer was cold and plentiful, the music was live and the horseshoes were flying. The memories from these weekends are held close by all those who attended.
Wade is survived by his brother, Darren (Judi); his sister, Diana (Bill); niece, Paxton (Thomas); nephew, Aidan; his great niece and nephew, Katrin and Luke; and his sweet pup, Winter, his faithful companion.
Cremation has taken place at his request and a memorial will be planned at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
