Karen & Tom's Family,
It was a shock to learn of Tom's recent passing. While death is a certainty for us all, it still comes all too soon & is a rude reality. I will miss the occasional front door chats with Tom & hearing his comments to us as Bonnie cycled and I ran by your home. I hope our words brightened his days as his greetings did for us. All the very best to you. May the grief pass and the fond memories fill your thoughts. Blessings to you all!

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I worked with Tom at Stadacona in the Officer's Mess years ago. We worked many events together and often enjoyed after hours drinks and the occasional game of cards. We kept in touch for a number of years after we worked together, and he was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I think of him often. My condolences to his family and friends.

For Tom and Shirley's children Michael and Jennifer, granddaughter Gadrielle and their partners and Karen we feel your sorrow of Tom's passing. We always regarded the Hill family as great neighbours and marvelled about the closeness of the sisters and brothers of the extended family. We know how important the companionship was that Karen and Tom shared in recent years.
We have wonderful memories of times spent with the Hills. Besides the fun times,Jo-Anne and Alan benefited from the exposure to Canadian navy ships that Tom so generously provided. Al had great fun going to the Sackville swimming pool with Tom in their retirement years. Ruth valued the sharing of the newspaper by the kind neighbours across the street. Beacon House also benefited from Tom's leadership as an active member of the board and part of the cleaning crew for several years. We appreciate Tom's volunteer time for the betterment of our community.

The world seems a lesser place now. Uncle Tommy will be sorely missed but ever remembered for his humor, card playing, cooking and kindness to all that knew him. He always managed to find time for a chat and or a card game and we're forever grateful for the times we got to share with him. I know there's no words that can ease the pain of this loss felt by Karen, Jen, Michael and the rest of the family but hopefully some comfort can be found knowing that his impact and life will be fondly remembered for ever. Rest in Peace Uncle Tommy. God Bless.

Tom was a great guy, he loved life and was a generous, kind and thoughtful soul. Karen, Patti, Michael, Jennifer, Gabby and the Symes family, we are so sorry for your loss. Tom's passing will leave a huge hole in all our lives.
We have some very good memories of our times with Tom and Shirley and later with Karen. A special memory is the 25th anniversary trip to Bermuda.
We are so sorry we can't be with you in person at this time but please know we are with you in thought and prayer.
