Obituary of Thomas Edward Hill
Thomas Edward Hill, age 78, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully at QEII Hospital on October 10, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on June 12, 1945, in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late Thomas Hill and Lena Hill.
Thomas joined the Royal Canadian Navy on October 5, 1962, and served 33 years, also the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires from 1997-2002.
Thomas leaves to mourn his partner, Karen Corbett; son, Michael Hill and Ibrahim Akyol, Toronto, ON; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Brad Beauchamp, Colorado Springs, CO; granddaughter, Gabrielle Beauchamp-Viel, Ottawa, ON; sister, Patricia and brother-in-law, Barry Blackburn, Trenton, ON; brother-in-law, George and Janet Symes, Lower Sackville; sister-in-law, Stella Holmes, Lower Sackville; sister-in-law, Ada and David Heatherington, Dartmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his wife and love of his life for 38 years, Shirley Kathleen Hill; by infant twin sons; and his sister, Joan (Hill) Brunton.
Cremation has taken place. A Service for family and friends will be held at St. John's the Evangelist Anglican Church and Graveyard, Lower Sackville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
