My dearest sweet friend. I will miss you everyday going forward. I will miss all the fun road trips, shopping trips, craft fairs, thrift store shopping that we did. I will miss jumping up and down acting crazy just to make you smile for a photo. You hated your picture being taken but I was determined to get some good ones and I did! I will miss us taking each other out to eat for our birthdays. I will miss exchanging Christmas gifts every year with you. I will miss all the times we went to plays, dinner theatres, movies at the cinema, Stars on Ice and the Abba Tribute. We had so much fun visiting my amazing mother in law and family in Yarmouth. Our trip to Cape Breton was a lot of fun! So many road trips! I will miss the crafts and sewing projects we did to help with weddings or to give as gifts and the dancing and singing we’d do just for fun! I will miss our talks and walks and rants and laughing till we cried! I will never forget the endless cupcakes and wedding cakes that we made! We always said that the last batch we made would be our last but then we would make more! You with your stand mixer at one end of the counter and me with mine at the other. We’d drive to Halifax with you holding all the cupcake in carriers so they would arrive safely to my sister’s work and we’d drive cupcakes to my son’s wedding or his friends weddings here in the Valley! We worked so hard on that fabulous cake for my niece’s wedding last October. We almost dropped it. We got so frustrated at one time that I gave us each pillows to scream into. Oh how we laughed afterward! We ended up finishing decorating the cake in my fridge because it was so heavy we couldn’t lift it back out! My husband Mike had to but that cake was a beautiful masterpiece by the time it got to it’s destination! I will miss our phone calls everyday. Oh the many, many phone calls! We exercised all last summer most mornings outside on my deck while listening and singing to Abba! That was so much fun! That beautiful baby blanket that you made for my precious grandson Benjamin whom you loved will be treasured by him and his parents Brandon and Alix (whom you loved) forever! I will miss everything about you. You will be so very much missed on the block. Looking at your house from mine will never be the same. Our dogs Rigi, Adee and Celina miss you letting them out and playing with them while sitting on my hammock swing on my deck most days while I worked. They loved you and you loved them! All the trips we made to Bridgetown to pick up my older grandchildren Wyatt and Ella (they both and their mom Crystal and dad Edward loved you) and all the trips to the airport to pick up Mike. How many times did you take me to work or pick me up from work because my car was back in the garage to be fixed? You were so generous, caring and thoughtful!
So many, many memories that I will hold in my heart forever!
You were my support, my rock, my best friend, our family! Mike and I will take comfort in knowing that you are with your beloved Deric! His arms were open wide waiting for you!
Till we meet again my friend

My sincere condolences to the family. We had such fun times travelling to craft fairs and wineries all over the province. She experienced some incredible food at the many restaurants, pubs and eateries they I introduced her too. We had a great trip to Cheticamp and stopped at a gift store with her name. Had many laughs and a few tears and she was there for me when I myself had two losses in my family. Will miss you my friend ❤️ , till we meet again

We are very thankful to have had Flora be a part of our lives. She was kind, caring, and always going out of her way to help others. We think of her every night when we tuck our son in with the beautiful blanket that she made him. She was a special lady and will be greatly missed.

I remember Flora from school and while living in the Village of Canning. We had a chance meeting during the past year while attending a visitation for another resident of the Village. I'm so sorry to read of her passing. My deepest sympathy to her children and families and also John, Ron and their families,
