To the family of Mary Elizabeth … I never knew your mom, but she and my mother (Joan Marr) were great friends growing up in Three Mile Plains before life took them in different directions. My mom used to mention her a lot. We eventually moved back to Nova Scotia and as a young child, along with several neighbourhood kids, would go on weekly basis to visit your grandmother, whom we always referred to as Mrs. Russell to help with gardening or anything she needed done … we quickly learned that if she didn’t like you, you would know it … fortunately for me I was always on the like list! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time … from what I heard growing up your mom was a great person … cherish your memories! Claire Purdy (Mom’s mom was a DeWolfe whose family had the adjoining property on the other side of the tracks)
